Aloha Orchid Nursery is a
family-owned and operated nursery located in
Pahoa, Big Island of Hawaii. We are a direct
marketer of Orchids delivering
plants to gardeners, orchid
lovers and small businesses
throughout the United States.
Unlike many
other mail-order orchid companies,
we grow the vast majority of the
plants we offer in our own
greenhouses. Our long term
commitment includes our own
breeding program that has bred 500
hybrids and hybridizing 200 new
and exciting orchid cultivars
annually. To further compliment
and offer the latest orchid flower
fashion, We purchase seedlings and
mature plants from several fine
growers here in Hawaii and from
abroad. Our established growing
system ensure that our plants meet
the strictest standards of quality
and permit us to guarantee
delivery at the time that is best
for the plants and our customers.
Company History
Established in 2000, We had
originally started as a middleman,
establishing a web site, and
selling to online marketplaces with intention of
strictly taking orders with
fulfillment and drop shipping by
local commercial growers. It was
an overnight success but a daily
nightmare bombarded by the slow
shipping, poor quality, an endless
list.
The only solutions to ensure
quality, consistent supply and
salable selection was to grow our
own plants and indeed we did. For
the past five years, we worked
very hard 7 days a week studying
Orchid Breeding, Mass Micro
Propagation of Orchids, Commercial
Growing, Plant Transportation,
E-commerce and studied 50 years of
the Orchid Industry.
The outcome is Aloha Orchid
Nursery, a market driven business
that innovates, adapts and applies
sound technology and techniques
for marketing, production and
distribution of orchid plants.
